Expect 22C sunshine in Cork today (but things will take a turn on Tuesday)

It’s a glorious start to the week.
But don’t pack your beach bag just yet; Met Éireann says we can expect the weather to take a turn tomorrow, with heavy rain, thunder and much cooler temperatures forecast in Cork.
It will be dry and bright today with plenty of sunny spells and just a few isolated showers this afternoon with highest temperatures of 20 to 22 degrees.
“Becoming a little cloudier later this evening with a few isolated showers developing too however most areas will remain dry. Winds remaining light with lowest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees.” said a forecaster.
Tuesday will start cloudy with showers developing from the afternoon.
“The showers will turn heavy and possibly thundery for a time in the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees and light winds.”
Wednesday is looking cloudy and unsettled to start, with scattered showers becoming more persistent and highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees.
According to Met Éireann, Thursday will be cool and cloudy and Friday will be “another very wet day with rain becoming widespread for a time. Winds should remain mostly light with highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees.”
