The celebrations continue in Cork.

As the name Cillian Murphy hits headlines all over the globe following the Cork star’s Best Actor win at the Oscars, Cork City FC has congratulated the Corkman on his win in a fun way.

In honour of the actor’s historic achievement, Cork City FC is offering free tickets to anyone with the name Cillian Murphy at this Friday’s home game against Bray Wanderers.

The names Cillian and Murphy are popular in Cork so there’ll likely be plenty of sports fans ready to avail of the freebie.

“Like everyone in Cork and Ireland today we are extremely proud of Cillian Murphy and his success,” said Chief Operating Officer at Cork City FC Éanna Buckley.

“As part of Cork’s celebrations we are giving a free ticket to anyone called Cillian Murphy this Friday night.
