Every course on this Valentine’s menu features an aphrodisiac ingredient

This’ll get your motor running.
A Cork restaurant is celebrating Valentine’s weekend with an entire menu devoted to the food of love.
The first Bookshelf Supper Club of 2023 has been announced for Saturday, February 11th, and head chef Rebekah Harrington and her team have created a five-course tasting menu celebrating ancient and modern aphrodisiacs found around the world.
We’ve had a sneak peek at the menu, which features mouthwatering dishes such as a preserve made of figs (the forbidden fruit) with whipped goat’s cheese, mixed nuts, chili, and garlic oil.
The main course for meat-eaters is spiced leg of lamb (for lovers), served with pomegranate and mint couscous and black garlic jus.
If you still have the energy to get busy in the bedroom after your cheeseboard and red velvet fondant then we salute you.

“As usual, we can not let such incredible food be served without pairing it with some beautifully complimentary natural wines, from Le Caveau Wine Merchants. We specifically select each pairing in order to bring the most to your dining experience,” they told us.
The Bookshelf Valentine’s Supper Club is €55pp (wine pairings an optional €25pp extra) or €45pp for early bird bookings before 5.30pm.
