Every bite on this new afternoon tea menu is made in Cork

This is something everyone should try at least once.
If you’ve ever doubted that Cork produces some of the tastiest food in the world, the new afternoon tea at The Montenotte will settle it for once and for all.
The hotel’s new Celebratory Cork Afternoon Tea menu is entirely sourced within the county bounds.
Savoury bites include the Gubbeen chorizo, Ardsallagh Goats Cheese and Ballymaloe relish ciabatta and the Milleens croque madame, made with cows milk cheese from the rugged Beara Peninsula.
Once those are devoured you can tuck in to the Cork Gin Trifle, Murphy’s Stout chocolate tart and Barry’s Tea crème brulee.
But there’s more; leave room for Tanora Pate de Fruit and Midleton Rare Whiskey fudge to finish, washed down with lashings of Barry’s Tea or coffee.
It’s our dream mates date.
A tribute to Cork Chamber 200, celebrating 200 years of the Chamber in Cork, Montenotte’s Celebratory Cork Afternoon Tea will be served in the swanky Panorama Bistro and Terrace (overlooking the River Lee, natch) throughout March.
You can book in between Monday and Saturday, 12.30pm – 3.30pm (€32 per person) on 021 453 0050.
