Engraved golden ring found at Garryvoe Beach

Does this ring belong to you?
Cork County Council Beachguards are looking for the owner of an engraved diamond ring that was handed in at Garryvoe Beach over the weekend.
So far, an image of the ring has been shared over a thousand times on social media without anyone coming forward to claim the lost piece of jewellery.
On Facebook, the official Cork County Council Beachguards page wrote: “A ring was handed into Lifeguards at Garryvoe Beach 💍 It is gold with a date engraved inside the band. Please message to let us know if this belongs to you or someone you know!” They have not specified as to what the engraving says.
The call-out comes as Cork’s lifeguards stand down their operations for 2021, perhaps the clearest signal yet that summer is well and truly over.
On Facebook, the team wrote: “While we won’t patrol beaches until next summer, we will continue to share and promote water safety & drowning prevention from our social media platforms.”
