Band members get engaged on-stage at Cork Pride’s Party at the Port

You love to see it!
Sunday’s Party at the Port for Cork Pride went down a storm yesterday, with loads of revellers turning up for the drive-in gig in their cars, and in the case of host RuPaul Ryder, a quad bike.

Covid has presented many challenges to event organisers, but Cork Pride certainly brought the love yesterday, with tunes provided by Stephanie Rainey, Sparkle, and DJ Marty Guilfoyle.
The undoubted highlight of the event, however, came as Sparkle were closing out their set. As they wrapped up their last song, Sparkle singer Caroline surprised everyone in the audience and on-stage by getting down on one knee and proposing to her bandmate and now-fiancée Jen.
Wonderfully, National Ambulance Service member Ger O’Dea was on hand to capture the magical moment, so you can see for yourself what happened next.
