Easter heatwave: Temperatures due to hit 21C this weekend

It’s going to be a very good Friday indeed, according to Met Éireann.
It looks like the torrential rain at the beginning of the week is about to give way to an absolute scorcher of a bank holiday weekend, with temperatures of up to 21C forecast for Cork on Friday and Saturday.
The national forecaster is predicting that Good Friday will be ‘dry and warm with long spells of hazy, spring sunshine’ and top temperatures of between 17 and 21 degrees.
Temperatures won’t drop below six degrees on Friday night and you can look forward to another warm and dry day on Saturday, when ‘long spells of hazy spring sunshine look likely to prevail through much of Leinster and Munster’.
Top temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees will ensure the beaches are busy so take a dip while you can; Easter Monday is likely to be much cooler, with patchy rain and cooler temperatures of between 13C and 16C forecast.
