Donate to charity and this city café will give you your Friday morning coffee for free

Here’s a lovely way to pay it forward this week.
With Daffodil Day cancelled this year because of Covid-19, the Irish Cancer Society is struggling to maintain its vital fundraising.
Now Cork city café Gusto has decided to help out – and they’re making it very easy for us all to chip in.
To coincide with the coffee shop’s 20th birthday, Gusto will be handing out free teas and coffees on Friday, December 11th at both their locations on Washington Street and on the Boardwalk at Lapp’s Quay.
Daffodil day did not happen this year. So, to coincide with on our 20th birthday tomorrow, we will be giving out free coffee & tea all day. If you would like to give a donation to @IrishCancerSoc we would be 🙏 See you tomorrow on Washington st & Lapps Quay #cork pic.twitter.com/RORduW9Xfy

You can swing by for a cuppa and make a donation to the cause any time during the day on Friday.
It’s the perfect opportunity to try one of their famous homemade mince pies too – they’re made to a family recipe involving lashings of real butter and booze.
Each year the Irish Cancer Society is able to provide free information, care and support to over 1.2 million people across Ireland who are affected by cancer. These activities come at a cost of over €20 million each year – only 3% of which is covered by the Government.
The pandemic has led to an increase in demand for cancer support services. There has been a 20% increase in demand for the Irish Cancer Society’s Night Nursing service, a service that allows cancer patients to spend their final days at home surrounded by their family, while calls to the free phone Support Line service are up 60%.
If you can’t make it to Gusto to support the fundraiser, you can donate online here.
