Dogs are welcome at this Open Garden in the grounds of Ballyvolane House

Here’s a dog walk with benefits.
Ballyvolane House in Castlelyons is hosting an Open Garden as part of National Heritage Week this Sunday, August 18th, with tours, food trucks, coffee and drinks aplenty available to guests as they stroll the property
Visitors can explore the glorious gardens and woodland walks and when you’re feeling peckish after your mini-adventure, the Pop-Up Café will be serving up barista-brewed coffee courtesy of Maher’s Coffee Roasters, alongside homemade cakes and pastries.

But wait, there’s more! Some amazing food trucks are joining the party. Spice things up with Volcano Pizza (back by popular demand) or tantalise your taste buds with something new from Spice Genie. ️
And because no picnic is complete without a refreshing drink, they’ll have a selection of local craft beers, ciders, and spirits available. Plus, you can snag a bottle of Ballyvolane’s very own Bertha’s Revenge Gin, distilled on-site – the perfect souvenir to remember your day.

Did we mention dogs are welcome? Because who wouldn’t want to share this fun-filled day with their furry bestie?
The gates open at noon on Sunday, August 18th until 4pm. Entry is €7 per person / €18 per family (up to two adults and three children) and you can pay on entry at the front gate (cash only).
