Do something useful and carve yourself a cheeseboard at this woodworking course

There’s something meditative about working with your hands.
And if you’re on the lookout for a crafty new hobby to take your mind off the daily grind, the creative folk down at Benchspace have just the thing.
The Marina woodworking hub is about to start a six-week course in woodcarving, during which all participants will learn how to make three very handy pieces; a spoon, a butter knife, and a serving board.
Not only will the new carving skills come in handy, but you’ll also have a brilliant conversation piece to show off every time you serve cheese or snacks at home.

The €260 Woodcarving course kicks off on Tuesday, April 19th from 7pm to 9.30pm with a small class and plenty of help from the expert tutors. All materials are supplied and students will be using high-quality tools and wood.
Benchspace runs various beginner sessions in the former Ford factory in the Marina Commercial Park with no experience necessary. You can sign up for this and other courses here.
