Cork’s only convertible snug is open for all your summer pinting needs

It’s literally the best of both worlds.
If you enjoy a pint in the sunshine but you secretly prefer the cushioned comfort of a seat indoors, one Cork pub has created a special little hideaway with your name on it.
The Vicarstown Bar on North Main Street already boasts a back beer garden that’s a proper sun trap in the summer, but come late May, you can catch some rays out the front too.
The bar’s cosy snug, just inside the front door, is fitted with a full-length window that retracts fully, opening up the venue to all the sights, sounds and smells of the atmospheric street outside.
With temperatures set to hit 22C in the coming days, our advice is to nab the best seat in the house early.
“Cork’s (possibly Ireland’s?) only convertible snug is back in full effect!” the Vicastown crew announced on Facebook.
“Come join us for a deliciously crispy pints in the sun!”
Now there’s an invite that’s hard to refuse.
