Cork’s newest bar opened quietly just before Christmas, but with 2019 officially underway, Impala has plenty of tricks up its sleeve to tempt us out of Dry January.

The Liberty Street spot is home to a whopping 22 rotating beer taps and a thoughtful selection of natural and organic wines.

Best of all, Impala is one of a growing number of Cork pubs that are totally cool about canine clientele, all they ask is that visiting doggos are well behaved.

The interior is fresh and cosy, with candlelit snugs, low lighting, vintage furniture and a green tiled bar.

A new cocktail menu designed by Brazilian mixologist Raf Agapito is due to launch next week.
