Cork’s most magical bookshop is hosting a Rare Book Fair this weekend

Planning your rainy day spins?
If you’re in the market for a dreamy little jaunt west, one of Cork’s most picturesque book shops is inviting antiquarian book fans to a two-day fair this weekend.
A real treat for readers, collectors, lovers of rare and unusual books, art, photography, ephemera, comics, vintage maps, and rare vinyl, the West Cork Rare Book Fair will run from Sunday, August 6th to Monday, August 7th from 11am to 5pm.
The event will be run by Holger Smyth of Inanna Rare Books and Readers Garden, a quiet oasis nestled in the woods near Skibbereen.
Irish poet and West Cork native Mary McCarthy will be opening the fair with a poetry reading and author Lisa Dowling will also present her latest poetry book The Tiny Details at the event.
If you work up an appetite on the spin to Skibb, you’re in the right place. Nicola Smyth and her team from West Cork’s first strictly plant-based coffee shop and deli Antiquity Vegan Bookshopcafe are providing food and cake.
