Cork’s Kingsley Hotel closes after staff members test positive for Covid-19

Two Cork hotel workers have tested positive for Covid-19.
The Kingsley Hotel on the Carrigrohane Road has now been closed as a precautionary measure as management work with the HSE and follow the appropriate protocols.
In a message posted on social media, the Kingsley’s General Manager Fergal Harte said that the decision to close the hotel temporarily was made after two members of staff tested positive for the virus “in recent days.”
“As a precautionary measure and in the interest of the safety of our staff and guests, we have independently taken the decision to close the hotel today, Wednesday, October 7th 2020, for a short period of time,” he said.
“We would like to wish the team members concerned a full and speedy recovery. We would also like to thank our guests and members for their support and understanding at this time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we look forward to welcoming you back to The Kingsley very soon.”
If you have a reservation with the hotel, which is part of the Fota Collection, over the coming days, the Kingsley’s Reservations Team will be reaching out to guests in the coming days.
