Don’t pack away the thermals just yet.
Met Éireann is forecasting another chilly night tonight, with hail and sleet likely in some parts of Cork and patches of frost and ice by morning.
After snowfalls in many parts of Cork yesterday, it will be “generally dry and bright” today with spells of sunshine, though there is the chance of isolated showers.
Highest temperatures will range between 8 to 10 degrees on Thursday.

“A largely dry start to tonight with clear spells and isolated showers. More frequent showers will spread from the southwest early in the night, possibly turning to hail and sleet at times. Cold with lowest temperatures of 0 to +2 degrees and some frost and ice forming in light southeasterly or variable winds.” said the forecasters.
Friday looks set to bring a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, with some heavy showers and hail possible, particularly in the afternoon. Highest temperatures will range from 9 to 11 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.
Met Éireann say the outlook is “unsettled for the Easter weekend but turning slightly milder with daytime temperatures in the low to mid-teens.”
