Cork kids are invited to a fun afternoon of play in the new Bishop Lucey Park

It’s been a hot topic during the winter months.
But as spring starts to bloom in Cork City Centre, local kids will get to have their say on the new Bishop Lucey Park on Grand Parade.
Youngsters are invited to a special event entitled Playing in the Park, which is set to bring traditional street games into the newly renovated space.
Led by the Let’s Play Cork team, on Saturday, March 14th, families are invited to explore playful zones across the park’s accessible levels from noon until 2pm, each with its own mood and activities.
“Enjoy our new Sensory Play Zone for calm, hands on fun, in a quite space or jump into high energy games and challenges.” say the organisers.

“Come along, dip in and out of each area, and discover how playful the park can be.” they added.
You can also check out several heritage and public art features within the Park, including the Christchurch graveyard, Seamus Murphy’s “The Onion Seller” sculpture, John Behan’s “The Swan Fountain” and the Boxer’s Wall.
The event is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
