Cork DJs will be spinning records at a free outdoor party in town this weekend

UPDATE: EVENT POSTPONED
Planning a stroll in town this weekend?
It’s an excellent time to check out TEST SITE at Kyrls Quay, where Vinyl Love with Stevie G and guests will be spinning records all day long on Sunday.
The vacant site near the Bridewell Garda station has been turned into a temporary outdoor community space for city residents. Over the past few weeks, more than 300 native trees have been installed in deep beds on-site, alongside native plants including herb robert, common fern, wild strawberries, and foxgloves planted by An Taisce LEAF educator Niamh Ní Dhúill.
With progress coming along nicely, on Sunday, July 18th, TEST SITE will host its opening event, “a celebration of vinyl records and the music community itself”, from 12pm to 6pm.

“Vinyl Love has hosted many different events including exhibitions, record markets, talks and discussions. It has travelled all over Ireland to music festivals and even abroad too, including a huge event running simultaneously in 8 different cities in aid of the Repeal Movement a few years ago.” TEST SITE announced.
“Safe Gigs Ireland is an initiative being run by the Sexual Violence Centre in Cork, and it aims to make gigs and nightlife safer by creating a zero-tolerance environment for sexual violence. At Test Site, we will be promoting this campaign and various music fans will be playing some of their favourite records against the backdrop of these wonderful surroundings in Cork city centre.”

Vinyl Love, a free, un-ticketed, outdoor event, will run from 12pm-6pm on Sunday. A walk-ups only system will be in place and guests will be seated in pods of 6/4/2 on arrival.
