WATCH: Cork couple on First Dates realise they’re practically neighbours

“You’re so country.”
Last night’s episode of First Dates had plenty of Cork representation as Scott and Emma, from Whitegate and Togher respectively, sat down for a lovely blind date together.
While that might sound like a meet-cute, the whole thing was actually funnier than any rom-com in the history of Hollywood, with Scott’s reaction to learning Emma’s hometown proving absolutely hilarious.
As soon as Emma told him she was from Togher, he said: “For f*ck’s sake. Jesus, we could have f*cking… I’m from Whitegate, it’s only down the f*cking road. About twenty minutes.”
Emma soon joined him in the profanity, exclaiming “F*ck off! We could have drove up together.”

The two went down a storm on social media, with some people calling for them to be given their own show (though, of course, others were just calling for subtitles). In the end, the two agreed to go on another date, but Scott has since shared on social media that he is #stillonthemarket.
That Cork couple tonight were brilliant, im from West Cork so they might struggle to understand me too 😅 #FirstDatesIRL
