Cork City FC is celebrating Ireland’s participation in the upcoming Women’s World Cup by offering free tickets to this Friday’s game at Turner’s Cross to girls under the age of 16.
Cork City FC is calling on supporters to come out in force for the ‘must-win’ game against Drogheda Utd at the home ground.
The free tickets can be collected at the Club Shop in Douglas Shopping Centre before 1pm on Friday. Under 16’s availing of a free ticket must be accompanied by a fully-paid adult.
“There is a lot of excitement within our women’s team ahead of the Republic of Ireland’s first-ever World Cup tournament next month and we hope that a lot of girls in Cork who are starting out on their football careers are inspired by the Irish team,” said Chief Operating Officer at Cork City FC, Éanna Buckley.
“We, at Cork City, are encouraging female participation and have dedicated two of our summer camps to girls only this year.
“Cork City FC games at Turner’s Cross are always a family-friendly event and we hope that this initiative will encourage more girls to attend this Friday’s game and experience the excitement of a home game.”
