If you’d rather skip town altogether than pay over the odds for parking, there’s a new incentive that might lure you into the city for a little early Christmas shopping.

Cork City Council just announced a free six-week parking initiative, starting today, October 8th, 2019, in North Main Street car park, Paul Street car park and at the Black Ash Park and Ride.

Here are the details:

Paul Street Car Park & North Main Street Car Park

Free parking between 10am – 12noon, Monday to Thursday only, starting October 8th. Only applicable if you enter from 10am.

Free late night parking

Thursday and Friday from 6.30pm, starting October 10th, 2019. Paul Street Car Park: 6.30pm-midnight, North Main Street Car Park: 6.30pm – 9.30pm, only applicable if you enter from 6.30pm.

Black Ash Park & Ride

Free every Saturday from 7am to 8.30pm, starting October 12th, 2019.
