His bright and bold prints hang on walls all over the country.
But Cork artist Shane O’Driscoll’s art will soon be rolling out across the floors of Ireland’s most stylish homes – the printmaker has announced his first collaboration with Ceadogán Rugmakers will be unveiled during this weekend’s Design POP festival.
The first ‘Continuum’ pieces will be displayed in the Brown Thomas windows on Caroline Street (beside Shane’s enormous mural) from August 27th, 2021, and Ceadogán will be exhibiting the full luxury collection at the dancing studio at the Metropole Hotel, Cork.
“Shane’s minimal screen printing style has really come up trumps in the creation of this bold and bright collection of rugs.” the brand said on Instagram.
“The solid and beautifully balanced compositions are underscored by the sumptuous textures and passionate crafting of the team at Ceadogán bringing a three-dimensional element to Shane’s printmaking style.”

Shane said that working with the Ceadogán team had been an ‘absolute pleasure’.
“I’ve been a big fan of the work Ceadogán do for a long time and also the creatives they choose to work with, so this has been a special project,” he said.
The rugs in the collection are expected to go on sale soon via the Ceadogán website.
