‘Cold and mostly sunny’ – Met Éireann has some positive news for your daily solo stroll

Craving some fresh air?
Self-isolation is tough going, but if getting out for a daily walk (while following the strict Covid-19 social distancing advice) is the key to minding your mental health until all this blows over.
With that in mind, Met Éireann has some good news for the next 24-hours.
According to the national forecaster, any frost, ice and mist will soon clear this morning to give a largely dry day with just isolated showers.
Cool, bright and dry in most areas today with sunny spells and just a few well scattered light showers but southern areas will be somewhat cloudier.

“There will be a mix of cloud and sunny spells in most parts of Munster but mostly cloudy conditions will persist in the south until later this afternoon.” say forecasters. It will be another cool day, with highs of between 7C to 9C.
And tomorrow’s looking good too; while temperatures will drop as low as -3C tonight, with a widespread sharp frost and a risk of icy stretches, Friday will start cold and mostly sunny, with frost and any icy patches clearing.
“Cloud amounts will increase from the south during the morning. Highs of 7 to 9 degrees, and it will feel chilly in a strengthening east to northeast wind during the afternoon.” forecasters report.
