Clonakilty’s magical Polar Express is back this Christmas (and tickets just went on sale)

It’s always a sell-out.
The enchantment of Christmas is about to descend upon Clonakilty once again, as The Polar Express makes its triumphant return.
This year they’re promising a bigger and better experience, with some extra festive characters.
Train hoppers can expect an array of activities on top of the usual frolics including a meeting with Dusty the magical teddy bear, Jack Frost, as well as everybody’s favourite Christmas villain The Grinch, who is said to be hiding out on Mount Crumpit. There will also be sing-alongs, interactive storytimes, and a special meeting with Mrs. Claus.
What to expect:
When it’s your turn to board the enchanted carriage, the seasonal crew will whizz you and the fam around town before visiting Mr. and Mrs. Claus for some photos. Santa will be welcoming visitors to his usual Christmas Cabin for a special chat about certain wishlists before sending the smallies on their merry way to take their pick of pressies from his workshop.
You can spend some time following the model trains and trying out the remote control boats and mini diggers in the miniature town, which will be all lit up in Christmas cheer.
On Saturday, December 2nd, The Polar Express Clonakilty has arranged ASD-friendly booking times from 11am to 2pm. During this period, the Santa experience is thoughtfully adjusted with reduced sound, gentler lighting, visuals, and smaller group sizes to cater to those seeking a quieter and less stimulating visit with dedicated staff readily available to provide support to family members throughout.
