And now there’s another reason to fill your home with the heady scent of lavender; buy a bunch at the Marina Market this weekend and you’ll be supporting a very worthy local charity.
A Gift from Mairéad funds an annual research and education bursary for paediatric oncology and families affected by cancer.
The initiative was set up in memory of Mairéad Fouhy, who tragically lost her life to cancer at the age of just 19.

Mairéad’s family and friends have been hard at work growing and drying organic lavender for the cause and you can support them at the Marina Market this Saturday and Sunday, August 12th and 13th.
The beautiful bunches of organic lavender can be placed in a vase, set on a mantlepiece or popped into bags to scent drawers and wardrobes during the colder months of the year.
The Marina Market stall will be open from 10am on both days.
