Bring a dish to share at this lovely Cork Solidarity Dinner

There’s a very cool musical line-up for the day.
If you’d like to meet new people and show your support for people seeking asylum in Ireland, there’s a seat for you at the table this weekend at the Cork Solidarity Dinner this Sunday, July 7th, 2024.
The event, organised by Refugee and Migrant Solidarity Ireland (RAMSI) a collective that stands in solidarity with migrants, international protection applicants and refugees in Ireland, aims to bring people together to make connections “through the joy of food, music and community.”
It’s all happening at the Ardfallen Centre on Douglas Road, where the fun will begin at 2pm with some live trad music before moving on to sets from South African a capella ensemble The African Queens & King and DJ Stevie G, all organised by Brouhaha.
The organisers have put a call out to attendees who are more established in Ireland to join them on the day and if you can’t go along, you can help out by donating here.

“We encourage those who can to bring a dish to share, this is a big community potluck event and the more delicious interesting food the better!” they added.
“We’ve had loads of sign-ups from people living in accommodation centres (woohoo!). We’re looking for people who are more established in Ireland to join us at the dinner to eat, dance and be merry in solidarity with those going through the asylum process.”
