Bring a brolly; Met Éireann is forecasting ‘thundery downpours’ today

It’s not exactly the heatwave we were hoping for.
Met Éireann has warned that we can expect sunny spells and scattered showers today, with ‘the odd thundery downpour’ possible this afternoon or early evening.

Pleasant daytime temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees will drop to around 8C after sundown, but showers will largely die out during the night.
Happily, things are looking up for tomorrow; the national forecaster is predicting there will be ‘plenty of dry and bright weather about on Tuesday with sunny spells’.
A few showers will break out during the afternoon, but it’s definitely an improvement on today’s forecast downpours.
