Beginners are welcome at this city photography masterclass and photo walk

Listen up, aspiring street snappers.
Fancy turning your phone into a lens for capturing the raw, unfiltered beauty of Cork? Well, ditch the blurry selfies and get ready to elevate your photography game because the Cork Harbour Festival is bringing you a masterclass you won’t want to miss.
Wannabe photographers have a golden opportunity to learn from award-winning photographer Brendan Ó Sé on Saturday, May 31st during a morning workshop at The Glucksman in UCC.
Forget those generic filters, Brendan’s going to show you how to truly see the city, how to freeze those fleeting moments of magic along the River Lee, and how to capture the electric energy of the Ocean to City – An Rás Mór.
The class will start at the Glucksman museum with an hour-long introduction to mobile and street photography techniques looking at composition, lighting, timing and editing. This will be followed by a photo walk along the River Lee ending at the Port of Cork where the Ocean to City race will be taking place.
“Photography is a deeply personal practice, allowing us to capture individual moments and develop personal insight.” says Brendan.
“It can also help to reduce stress and anxiety as we find ourselves in the moment, as we photograph what has captured our visual attention, or later when fully-immersed in editing our images.”
Tickets are €30 and you can book your spot now here.
