What a spark of brilliance.
The beautiful Mallow Castle is set to host a captivating free festive event that promises to enchant visitors of all ages.
On Friday, December 8th, the historic building will feature an Illuminated Walkway — open from 4 pm to 7 pm — with an autism-friendly hour from 4 pm to 5 pm.
As you enter through the main gate on Bridewell Lane, get ready to be immersed in the magic of Christmas lights and decorations.
The beautiful castle backdrop will provide the perfect setting for an illumination walk, where attendees will have the opportunity to encounter their favourite Christmas characters along the way.
During the autism-friendly hour, the music will be turned off, and actors will engage with visitors only if approached or interacted with. This thoughtful initiative aims to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
This inclusive event, organised by Cork County Council and supported by Cloyne Diocesan Youth Services, is designed to accommodate everyone, with wheelchairs and buggies also welcome.
It’s going to be a sparkling spectacle.
