All the beers at this Franciscan Well festival are brewed by women

Sisters are brewing it for themselves.
Well, actually they’ve been contributing to the mammoth success of Irish beer forever, but an upcoming event in Cork will give you an opportunity to meet the people behind the pints.
The Fem-Ale Festival, Ireland’s first ever festival dedicated to celebrating women in the beer industry, takes place at the Franciscan Well on Friday, August 10th and Saturday, August 11th – and it’s looking like it’s going to be a right old knees up.
Pop in to taste a range of Irish beers brewed by female brewers from more than 13 Irish breweries, with talks from some of the leading women in the industry including Melissa Cole, UK- based journalist and beer sommelier.
Marketing, sales, journalism and brewing chats will offer a platform to share experiences and entertainment will be provided by Cork-based female bands throughout the weekend.
Cheers!
