Did you wake up feeling uneasy this morning?
A steam in a sauna followed by a bracing dip in the sea is one of the most reinvigorating things you can do to brush off the cobwebs, especially after a long week of worry and distressing scenes from Ukraine.
As local businesses everywhere do what they can to help, Tadgh Driscoll, who runs Cork’s original beach sauna The Warming Wagon has announced that his luxury wood-fired beach sauna will be opening at Roches Point this Saturday from 12pm until 6pm for a full day of fundraising.
Saunas have been used to boost wellbeing for thousands of years. The dry heat raises the heart rate, improving circulation and promoting a zen feeling of relaxation.

All of the proceeds from the day will be donated to a Ukrainian charity and Tadgh will be matching donations up to €1,000.
All you need to bring is your togs and a towel and some cash to donate to the cause.
