As winter draws in and the forecast fills with rain, sleet, snow and ice, Aer Lingus is tempting Cork customers to plan ahead for summer 2019, announcing an extra connection to sunny Croatia.
A third weekly flight from Cork to Dubrovnik has been added to the schedule for summer 2020.
The new service will offer even more opportunity to visit to Dubrovnik, where the sun shines more than 250 days of the year, adding to the current service on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
It’s another piece of good news for sun seekers, following the confirmation that Ryanair’s four new summer 2019 services from Cork to Alicante and Malta have been extended into the winter season.
In total, five new routes will be operating during the colder months, including the new twice-weekly route to Katowice, Poland, which commenced on October 31st, 2019 and the Ryanair routes to Budapest and Poznań.
Passenger numbers forecasted to travel through the airport before March 31st, 2020 are forecasted to be up 5% over the same period last year.
