A whopping 50,000 passengers will pass through Cork Airport this May weekend

Get there early if you’re jetting off.
Cork Airport is set to welcome over 50,000 passengers this May bank holiday weekend.
As the first month of summer begins, tens of thousands of lucky passengers will be taking off on weekend breaks to cities across the UK and Europe, while thousands of others will take the opportunity to jet off to the sun in southern Europe. It will also be a busy weekend for an influx of inbound visitors to the South of Ireland.
May heralds the start of the busy summer travel period, as post-primary schools break for summer holidays at the end of the month.
Increased frequencies to holiday hot spots
Ryanair will increase frequencies on services to Alicante, Poznan, and Valencia. Aer Lingus will recommence two seasonal services, with the twice-weekly service to Dubrovnik and three times-weekly service to Palma de Mallorca starting on Wednesday, May 1st. Both services will operate through to September.

“As the May Bank Holiday weekend beckons, it’s easy to see that summer is just around the corner,” said Barry Holland, Communications Manager at Cork Airport.
“Ahead of a busy bank holiday weekend, we recommend passengers arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before their flight and to pre-book their car parking on corkairport.com.”
