Looking for reasons to get out of the house midweek?

Wine lovers have just the excuse for stroll into town on Monday, August 11th; The Franciscan Well is having a little white wine tasting on the North Mall.

The Spanish Godello Wine Tasting and Cheese Pairing event will kick off at 6pm in the Franciscan Well Brewery & Brewpub.

Guests will sip three different Spanish Godello wines, famed for their full-bodied, mineral-like flavours, expertly paired with a selection of fine cheeses. It’s the ideal opportunity to expand your palate with fellow wine lovers in a cosy setting (or simply indulge in a sneaky glass or two on a Monday).

“Join us for a special tasting experience as we explore one of Spain’s native grape varieties—typically grown in the Galician region, but also cultivated in León.” said the organisers.

“We will be sharing insights into its unique character as well as the terroir that defines it.”
