A Valentine’s Self-Love Workshop that could be better than a date

When was the last time you wrote yourself a love letter?
If it’s been a while, an upcoming self-love Valentine’s workshop, led by Aleesha Wiegandt, is pitched as an evening of embodiment, reflection and ritual — words that might make some people shift nervously in their seats, but stay with it.
The premise is simple. Instead of striving endlessly to become “better”, what if you stopped for a moment and acknowledged the person you already are? On Friday, February 13th at Cork Lotus Yoga on Carey’s Lane, Cork city you can give it a bash.
Coupled or single, the invitation is the same: meet yourself, flirt with yourself, maybe even marry yourself — your only guaranteed lifelong soulmate. Which sounds slightly tongue-in-cheek until you realise how rarely we offer ourselves that kind of generosity.

The event is open to all genders, ages and backgrounds, and is designed as a gentle, supported space. There’s a quote guiding the evening that lands with quiet force: “What would happen if you stopped trying to become someone better and started dating the person you already are?”
There will be no grand gestures, no grandstanding. Just an evening set aside to pause, reflect, and maybe — radical thought — be on your own side for once.
