A short workshop could help you protect your small business from cyberattack

Brought to you by Munster Technological University (MTU).
Starting a business requires guts and grit.
But no matter how hard you work, risks and threats are par for the course – especially when it comes to running a business online, so it’s always wise to be prepared.
If the idea of cyberattacks is keeping you up at night, now there’s a simple way to allay that very modern concern thanks to the experts at Cyberskills, part of Munster Technological University (MTU).
They’re hosting a Cybersecurity for Business workshop running across three short morning sessions, with absolutely no experience or prior knowledge of this particularly murky world required.
The course is starting on Monday morning, February 13th, followed by Monday, February 27th, and Monday, March 13th.
“It’s delivered by industry experts and designed for small and medium-sized business owners to identify the cybersecurity risks facing their business.” MTU’s Catherine Wilson told us.
“The course focuses on practical measures business owners can implement right now to protect their business against cyberattacks. It is packed with valuable tips such as, how to back up your Instagram followers in case you got hacked or how to report a fraudulent purchase to a bank.”
The cost of the full course is €200 and all participants will be armed with a Cyber Risk Assessment, a Business Continuity Plan, and Annual Cyber Checklist tailored to their individual business upon completion.
