A new vegan chocolate stall is selling out of Oreo tart (and it’s a gluten-free paradise)

Pop this on your ‘must-visit’ list.
A new little stall is selling a selection of delectable chocolatey vegan treats at the Marina Market on Sundays and they’ve just added even more to their menu for Cork’s gluten-free treat seekers.
Ballymaloe-trained chef Amanda Keating set up the new venture at the busy Centre Park Road venue with her daughter, Mia.
“Cooking and baking is something that we both love and something that has been hugely valued in our family for many generations,” Keating told Yay Cork.
“I qualified from Ballymaloe in 1991 and have worked as a chef in several restaurants both in Cork and Dublin. I also had a stall in the Old English Market.
“I became vegan a few years ago and I really noticed that I was missing out on treats and sweet things as I found that there wasn’t a lot to choose from – so this is what inspired us to start Chocco.”
“I wanted to create a menu that was so delicious you wouldn’t realise it was vegan.”

The pair have been successful in that regard; business has been brisk already, with many of the €3 treats, from chunky Biscoff cookies to peanut butter cups artfully arranged on their tables disappearing fast.
“It’s been great because most of the people visiting the stall aren’t actually vegan and are loving what we have to offer, especially our Chocolate and Oreo Tart,” says Amanda.
“We are now expanding our menu to include more gluten-free options as we have noticed that this is also hugely popular.”
Chocco takes orders for events and parties of any size (email choccocork@gmail.com) and Amanda and Mia have already been approached by other local businesses who want to stock Chocco goods, which is an avenue they are looking into.
In the meantime, you can get your Chocco Cork fix at the Marina Market every Sunday.
