A new group is forming to ‘protect, enhance, and restore’ biodiversity in Cork City

You don’t need to be an expert to contribute.
Anyone with an interest in protecting Cork’s green spaces is invited to an upcoming event happening at Nano Nagle Place on Douglas Street in July.
“In response to the Bishop Lucey Park development and the continued destruction of our biodiversity, we’ve linked up with Cork Environmental Forum to form a coalition to protect, enhance, and restore biodiversity in Cork City.” the students behind University College Cork’s Green Campus said in an Instagram post.
The purpose of the meet-up is to facilitate open dialogue and unify local groups and individuals with a common interest in nature and sustainable development.

“We need your input and perspective, so we can work together to lobby our elected representatives to stand up for nature,” they added.
The event will include brainstorming and planning sessions to help outline a larger campaign. Everyone is welcome to attend from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, July 9th, 2022 (register your interest here).
