A new coffee trailer hoists up its hatch in Carrigaline this week

Stop by on your way to the park.
A brand new coffee trailer opens its hatch at 9am this Saturday, August 30th in Carrigaline.
Scéal Coffee will be serving delicious Stone Valley Coffee from Clonakilty as well as a tasty selection of locally-made treats at this location on the way to Ringaskiddy.
The launch of Scéal Coffee is the realisation of a dream for Amy O’Neill and her mum, Geraldine… and a fresh start after a difficult period in both their lives.
“My mom and I had a rough year back in 2023. I had lost my boyfriend, Rob, at the time in March and four months later, my Nan Peg, mum’s mum, in July. That’s when I started to realise that life is way too short and decided to start to pursue my passion and make it into a business.

“I brought the idea to my mum around Christmas time 2024 and from then on we put our heads down and started to make it a reality.”
The pair bought the trailer in March 2025 and have been renovating it ever since.
“I picked green as it’s my Mum’s favourite colour so I wanted a bit of her collaboration.
“We started painting and behind the scenes making with the help of my mom, boyfriend, friends and eight-year-old niece. My godfather has been helping with the electrical stuff like the generator, lights and fridge.”

“Coming up with the logo was a hard task and I’m not good with design or anything like that so it was a struggle but I had to hand it over and ask Emily Partika.
“I remember writing down on a brown piece of paper all my ideas and bad drawings and somehow she got my vision, and created my dream logo.”
