A new coffee spot is opening in Myrtleville (just in time for sea swimming season)

You’ll be needing a hot drop after a swim.
And if you’re taking your first tentative steps down the sand and into the sea at Myrtleville Beach this weekend, there’s a new coffee stall ready and waiting to warm you up when you emerge.
Clonakilty native Bryan Downey opens his Craving Coffee Company at the popular location on Saturday, Sunday and Monday over the May bank holiday.
The stall will be serving Mean Bean, a single origin from Colombia, every weekend in May, before extending the opening hours to seven days a week from June onwards.

Expect homemade rocky road and triple chocolate cookies from Cakes by Aine too – just the thing to stop your teeth from chattering as you warm up.
“I love meeting and chatting to people,” Bryan, who has worn many hats, from chef to barman to fishmonger, told us.
“I always wanted to run a pub or café just for the interaction with people. Since I packed up the drink, the pub is out of the question so a cafe truck is the first step in the journey of owning my own cafe someday… and what more beautiful place to do it than down by the beach in Myrtleville?”
Look out for Craving Coffee Company at Myrtleville from 10am until 4pm all weekend.
