A new café is now open in one of Cork’s most scenic locations

It’s ideal timing for summer spins.
A new café is now open at the Lusitania Museum & Old Head Signal Tower at the Old Head, just 15 minutes from Kinsale.
Grounded at the Old Head will be operated by sisters Orlagh and Nora O’Shea, from Bantry, who are well known for their popular Grounded Coffee Truck in Bantry and Grounded Café at Douglas Court Shopping Centre.

The café will serve a range of options including Stone Valley coffee, açaí bowls, sundaes, ice cream, cakes and pastries, catering to both visitors and locals alike.
The space includes cosy indoor seating as well as lots of outdoor benches where visitors can soak up the views this summer.

Located at one of the most scenic points along the Wild Atlantic Way, the café will enhance the visitor experience at the Old Head Signal Tower, which continues to attract thousands of visitors each year to explore the Lusitania story, the Wild Atlantic Way Signature Discovery Point, the iconic Old Head Cliffs and the surrounding coastal walks.
The addition of the new café is an exciting development for the site. The Lusitania Museum/Old Head Signal Tower Heritage CLG Committee are currently working towards securing capital funding for the delivery of the new museum building.
