A new café is almost ready to open for brekkie and lunch at Cork Opera House

It’s a bright and airy spot for a coffee.
And if you enjoy the excitement and the atmosphere of the theatre, Cork’s newest café will likely become your go-to meet-up spot.
The new Half Moon Place café officially opens in the foyer of Cork Opera House on Friday, June 16th, following a successful soft launch for drinks and sandwiches yesterday.
Facing onto busy Emmet Place and the River Lee, the café will serve a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes from 10am to 3pm from Monday to Friday, so you can grab a seat and people-watch while you sip your morning espresso.
The café will also host live performances (Conor Clancy aka TOUCAN will open this concert series with a selection of original music on Friday) while providing space for local artists to exhibit:
“Be sure to follow our socials to keep up to date and be the first to know about our menu offerings and soon-to-be-announced performances and exhibitions occurring in our new café space!” the venue management tweeted.
“We look forward to welcoming you to Half Moon Place!”
