A much-loved Ballinspittle café is closing permanently

We’ll miss this one.
Shannen Keane, the owner of Diva Café in Ballinspittle has announced that she is closing the popular eatery for good.
The café was an essential stop on a visit to the town, with each of Seattle-born Shannen’s American-inspired dishes featuring the best of local produce. An annual Diva Thanksgiving Dinner treated homesick diners to a traditional feast of turkey and stuffing with all the trimmings and pumpkin pie.
Shannen opened Diva Café 14 years ago, coming back with a bang after a fire ripped through her premises in 2015.
Confirming the news on social media last night, Shannen said: “It is with great sadness that I have made the difficult decision to permanently close Diva café. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the last 18 years of continued support! I loved feeding every single one of you!
“The bakery will continue as we have been for the last month.. serving our cakes, coffees, sandwiches, pastries and bread out of our takeaway hatch.
