A famous tightrope walker is coming to Cork to walk across the River Lee

Me nerves.
If you don’t like heights, you might want to avoid Cork City this Sunday.
World famous for his jaw-dropping feats of daredevilry, high wire walker Chris Bullzini is planning on walking across the River Lee at 4.30pm on Sunday, June 9th, 2019.
Balancing on a tightrope suspended above the water, Bullzini will use only a balance pole to cross the water from the middle of Clontarf Bridge to City Quarter, Lapps Quay.
Let’s hope it’s not windy.
Most recently, Bullzini wowed a rapt audience will a death-defying tightrope performance entitled ‘The Journey’ – a 755ft tightrope walk, 66ft over Norwich’s historic market – in early May.
The funambulist, whose wife Phoebe is also a tightrope walker (they are parents to a baby girl), is based in the UK but frequently travels abroad in search of new and exciting challenges.
His Cork performance is all part of SeaFest, a huge waterside celebration of Cork’s maritime culture and heritage, which takes place from June 7th – 9th, 2019. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates.
