A Cork vet will launch her latest business venture at The Ploughing Championships

We’re a nation of pet lovers.
Now Cork vet Sinéad Mellett is hoping to help dog and cat owners across the country to keep their pets healthier for longer with her latest business venture.
The veterinary surgeon and certified veterinary herbalist, who lives in Sunday’s Well, left general practice last year to start the Natural Veterinary Company, a new range of pet supplements that will be launched at The National Ploughing Championships in Laois from September 17th to 19th.
The range has been carefully formulated and manufactured in Ireland and includes products for dental care, skin and coats, joint care and digestive care.

“The supplements are for dogs and cats and have been developed using high-dose herbal and marine ingredients, based on clinical research and evidence-based medicine,” Sinéad told Yay Cork.
“In general practice, healthier, alternative options for dogs and cats are few and far between and when I began my studies in herbalism and found the growing research base behind traditional medicine, as well as the repetitive results I was getting in practice, these were encouragement enough for me to start the Natural Vet Company.”
Sinéad is also about to unveil another project to the pet-loving public; her new book, Tails of Curious Cases.
“During my time travelling around the world as a vet, I have also written a book, which I started many years ago, but has now been published and will be launched alongside everything else next Tuesday the 17th at the National Ploughing.”
Her online shop will go live for the Ploughing Championships and visitors will be able to shop all of the pet supplements and the book for delivery nationwide.
