A Cork research company will pay you €400 to try their constipation relief supplement

Brought to you by Atlantia Food Clinical Trials.
Irish diets are notoriously fibre poor.
In fact, one in seven people in Ireland suffers from constipation, which occurs when passing stools becomes more difficult and less frequent than usual.
Other symptoms may include stomach-ache and cramps, feeling bloated, feeling sick, loss of appetite and lethargy. All in all it’s zero craic – but help could be at hand.
Because constipation can be a source of embarrassment, many people are slow to come forward and seek treatment. Now a Cork-based nutrition company is offering confidential help to sufferers… and they’ll even pay you to take part in their latest research.
Atlantia Food Clinical Trials Ltd is recruiting adults suffering from constipation to join a promising new six-week study that will investigate the effectiveness of a soluble dietary fibre supplement in relieving constipation and its associated symptoms of pain and discomfort. Those selected to take part could benefit by getting relief for their symptoms… while pocketing €400 for their time.
“We are looking to recruit both male and female adults aged between 18 and 75 years.” explains Atlantia Project Manager, Aoife Lonergan
“Suitable candidates would need to be experiencing constipation for a minimum of three months and have a relatively low daily intake of fibre. The study will last for six weeks and the payment is €400 on successful completion. The Atlantia team are highly trained medical and research professionals so anyone enquiring about eligibility for the study is assured of compassion and discretion”.
What does the study involve?
During the six-week investigation, participants will take a daily high-density fibre supplement, which can be dissolved in liquid and taken as a drink. The study involves four onsite visits at the Atlantia office in Blackpool, during which participants will undergo some standard testing and complete constipation-related questionnaires.
How do I apply?
To qualify as a suitable candidate for the constipation study, you must be aged between 18-75 years old with 1-3 bowel movements per week.
Once eligibility is confirmed, participants will have their vitals and measurements taken, followed by a physical examination by a medical doctor assigned to the trial. Upon completion of the study, a payment of €400 will be made. You can also earn an additional €20 for referring others to the study.
