A Cork distillery is launching Ireland’s ‘first and only’ premium absinthe tasting tour

Absinthe. Makes the heart grow fonder.
In fact, the drink that inspired Lautrec, Hemingway, Joyce, and Picasso, has quite a reputation; the emerald elixir was once banned in many countries due to rumours of its hallucinogenic properties.
Now Rebel City Distillery, whose very own Series Absinthe just won silver at the World Drinks Awards 2023, is bringing a unique celebration of the alchemy and artistry of this famous spirit to the people of Cork with a new distillery experience in the old Ford Factory building.
Chase the Fairy begins with a welcome cocktail in the boutique bar before guests are transported to a different time to learn about the art of distillation in an immersive distillery experience.
“With all bans being lifted in the last 20 years, what better way to celebrate than a night paying tribute to those who deemed it their favourite tipple long ago?” said the Rebel Distillery crew.
As the evening progresses, you will be treated to a demonstration of the traditional tasting method the distillery’s absinthe and two deliciously delectable cocktails.
