A cool new ‘living wall’ has been installed in UCC

The University College Cork campus just got even leafier.
A new ‘living wall’ was installed in the Quad Reading Room yesterday, transforming what was once a boring space into a beautiful and functional piece of living art.
Best of all? The project was paid for using energy efficient savings from the #loveourlibrary campaign.
Studies show that using greenery indoors not only creates a tranquil environment, but also dramatically improved the health and wellbeing of the people who come into contact with it.
People working in offices where greenery has been introduced have been shown to make fewer mistakes in the work, while there is also evidence that students who study in a leafy setting perform better in tests.
Yet another reasons to get down to the fishbowl before your final exams.
