A Clothes Swap in a bookshop? Sounds like the perfect Wednesday activity

Does your wardrobe need a little updating?
Now you can satisfy your grá for fashion without giving up on your pledge to be more sustainable, thanks to a fun swap meet at Rebel Reads.
The Marina Commercial Park community bookshop is hosting a Cork Clothes Swap on Wednesday, May 7th from 7pm until 8pm.
“Simply come along with clean clothes you no longer wear and swap them,” they explain.
For just a ticket price of between €2 and €5 – you pay what you can afford – you can declutter your closet and discover some pre-loved treasures.

Simply raid your wardrobe for up to five items of clothing you no longer wear, ensuring they’re freshly washed and dried because damp or dirty donations won’t be accepted. Then, bring your clean garments to the event, hand them over to our friendly volunteers, and get ready to browse the rails filled with other donated clothes, where you can pick out up to five new-to-you pieces.

“The venue is in the Marina Commercial Park, this is next to the Marina Market.” add the organisers.
“If you’re coming from the city, pass by the Marina Market and take the third gated entrance for the Marina Commercial Park, as the first two gates will be closed at this time. Go through the main gate, turn left and go straight until you reach a fence, then turn right. We are located next to My Goodness.”
While you’re there, don’t forget to have a peek at the second-hand books also available in the store – you might just find your next great read to take home too.
