It was the most important beauty drop of last  year.

Beauty influencer Alex Steinherr was in Cork before Christmas to oversee the launch of her eponymous beauty line in Penneys – and demand was sky high.

Alex spent two years formulating 20 products that fall into five ‘mix and match’ categories: Plump & Glow, Maximum Moisture, Pollution Solution, Pore Balance and Sleep Spa.

The formulas are cruelty-free, fragrance-free, vegan friendly and contain no parabens, no phthalates, essential oils or sulfates.

In short, they’re dreamy and there’s more: made with high-end ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, squalene and niacinamide, the collection allows everyone to access excellent skincare – for just €4 to €6 a pop.

“What I set out to create is a skincare line that focuses on real skin needs: safe formulas, a blend of innovative and proven ingredients and fresh textures for visible results.” Alex told Yay Cork at an intimate dinner in The Montennotte Hotel.

And she’s succeeded. We can confirm the masks are as effective as their luxe brand rivals and the Sleep Spa Every Night Eye Mask is a miracle in a tube.

But there were two products that the team could not keep on the shelves in Cork.

The Plump & Glow Facial in a Stick and the Plumping Lip Gloss disappeared in record time on Leeside.

In fact, staff had to restock the display three times during Alex’s visit as beauty buffs battled to fill their baskets with bargain essentials.
