One of Cork’s most magical hidden gems is reopening for a final summer goodbye

It’s your last chance to check it out.
One of West Cork’s most unique natural attractions is giving visitors one last chance to experience its magic this summer.
The Ewe Experience gardens in Glengarriff have announced a series of special weekend pop-up openings after receiving an overwhelming response from people hoping to visit before it closes.
The farewell weekends will begin on Saturday, June 27th, with the final opening taking place on Sunday, August 30th, giving nature lovers the chance to explore the famous gardens one last time.

Known for its quirky sculptures, colourful artwork and beautiful riverside setting, The Ewe Experience will welcome visitors for a series of Wildlife Weekends, with a different “Guest Star” natural wonder celebrated each weekend.
Artist and co-owner Sheena Wood said the decision to reopen came after a flood of messages from people hoping to return.
“The enquiries have been flooding in, so we decided to open for a last chance to explore,” Sheena said.

Visitors can wander along the magical waterfall walk, discover hidden details throughout the gardens and keep an eye out for the famous “Family of Man” faces hidden among the artwork — with lucky spotters in with a chance of winning a prize.
The riverside art gallery will also host a half-price sale on Sheena’s artwork throughout the pop-up openings.
As part of the final season celebrations, donations made to the two wishing wells in the gardens will be doubled by The Ewe Experience, with funds raised going towards Bridge Street Community Café in Bantry, Kenmare Special Needs and MSF Doctors Without Borders relief work in Gaza.
After 33 seasons in West Cork, the summer openings will offer visitors a final opportunity to soak up the creativity, nature and charm that made The Ewe Experience such a beloved spot.
